Direct HomingWhat is Direct Homing??Direct homing is the term we use to refer to cats currently on the waiting list to come into Sunny Harbour,whose owners would like to publish details and to take direct enquiries from potential adoptees. The aim is that hopefully some of these cats may find a home directly without the need to come into Sunny Harbour and a rescue environment, thus making it less traumatic for them but also to help to get cats in difficult situations into new loving homes. What is the process?Contact details for the current owner(s) of the cat(s) concerned can be found on the details page for each cat. You should contact the current owner for further details. Please do not contact Sunny Harbour as these cat(s) are not under our care. Please ensure that you obtain as much information as possible on medical background, vaccinations, neutering status, etc from the current owner as possible. Please also be aware that we have provided guidance to direct homing owners and they may wish to perform a home visit prior to rehoming their cat with you. Re-homing their cat(s) may be a very difficult thing for some owners to do so please try to be understanding of their situation. Please note: Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue in no way vouches for the health or temperament of the cat or cats listed for Direct Homing. This is purely a tool to help facilitate owners needing to relinquish their cats, find them new loving homes. Sunny Harbour has had no direct involvement with the cat(s) concerned.
