Rocky came to Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue a couple of weeks ago after he was brought to our attention when he found himself thrown out on the street and left to fend for himself.

Not understanding what had happened to his home Rocky tried to get back inside and for this he was rewarded with water being thrown over him regularly.

Thankfully for Rocky a kind hearted soul looked out for him and got him to Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue before his health or condition deteriorated any further.

On his arrival Rocky was covered in huge matts all over his body especially at his back legs and tail which restricted his ability to stand up and walk. We gave Rocky a couple of days to settle, build up his strength and enjoy some TLC and then it was off to the vet for a de-matt under sedation as it was so bad it would have been too painfull for him to have it completed while conscious.

Rocky - beautiful silver tabby in need of love and a forever home The little boy that we collected that afternoon was a happy, but weary, little fella who was so full of love, cuddles and appreciation. This once chased and feared little cat is a true little cuddle monster and loves nothing better than curling up on your knee for love and affection.

A particular favourite for Rocky is head rubs and bumps and he adores having his tummy stroked. This is one little boy who is most definately a lap cat through and through.

This little lad has been let down by the world when all he wanted was a safe place to sleep, some food in his belly and a lap to curl up on.

He has once again found safety and a full belly, but could you offer Rocky the lap he so much craves for?

Rocky is a healthy wee boy for his age and is chatty and affectionate beyond belief considering what he has been through. (do you get the idea we're smitten....well I am! )

Could you love little Rocky??? Rocky would be ideally suited to a couple or older person looking for a cat for company where he can enjoy the quieter life. We also believe that Rocky will be just as happy with an indoor home as he would with an indoor / outdoor home and so will consider both options for him.

Update Oct 09 - We are delighted to be able to report that Rocky has now found his forever home where he is settling in at his own steady pace. We await further updates.
