I found home....Maya
7 year old black and white, female, short haired cat.Maya came to us in late July 2008 when her previous owners no longer wanted her or her son. They came to us traumatised and very scared and jumping with fleas. On her arrival, Maya a beautiful little cat was de-flea 'd and wormed and slowly began to trust us. From what patchy background we could gather Maya has led a difficult life having been the subject of a RTA and with a skin condition (we believe stress induced) affecting her back which can be very painful. Despite this, Maya is a lively 7 year old cat with beautiful markings and full of cattitude. A very chatty little cat Maya has an answer for everything and absolutely adores to be stroked and fussed over. Since her stay with us it would appear that Maya has a love for children, although we would suggest older children and a home with no other cats would be preferable for this little girl. Maya has now found a new loving home where her new family can show her patience and understanding and allow her to settle in at her own pace whilst they gain her trust. Update: 06/08/08 Maya is doing wonderfully well. She is becoming more affectionate by the day as her confidence and trust grows. She knows what she wants and can be very vocal but is learning more every day about how a relationship between humans and cats should be. We are over the moon at her progress and truly believe that given a home with a new human with patience and time they will be greatly rewarded with a loving, affectionate and most of all a very grateful little cat who has only begun to learn how life should be. Additionally her progress has done wonders for the skin condition on her back, which is clearing up wonderfullly and no longer painfull. We are confident that this condition has been stress induced. Update: 19/08/08 Message from Maya's new slave: "just a wee email to let you know how Maya is settling in. She is doing fantastic you would think she had lived here all her life, she is eating well and is an absolute joy she hasnt even had a huff yet but i'm sure she will, i have my mum coming up later today to see her but i'm sure she'll be fine. I will send you some pics later in the week as she is quite a girl for gettting her pic took." Good luck in your new home Maya, you deserve it kiddo! Update: 31/08/08 Message from Maya's slave: Hi again just to let you know Maya has now completely taken over the house ( but in a good way) i cant believe there was a time when she was nervous etc as she is super confident now and loves when i get visitors as its more cuddles for her. I have attached a few pics for you to see how she is. Thanks again for the wee one and keep up the good work you are doing.
