Rescue Cat of the Year 2015

The rescue will close 5pm Saturday 19th Dec for approximately 3 weeks. All phone lines, enquiries and adoption applications and enquiries are on hold until we reopen mid to late January 2016. We do sincerely apologise and this is the first time we have closed completely, but due to a need for emergency repairs at the rescue we have no other option but to close until building work is completed.

Please note that this does not affect our CAT CARE CENTRE & SHOP. This will remain OPEN throughout this period.

Should you require assistance during our closure please use the Cat Chat Website to find your local cat rescue. We apologise to anyone who has recently applied to adopt and should you wish to cancel your application please just email us and we will action when we reopen.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this very difficult time. Updates will be provided via our Facebook page as to expected ‘re-opening.

The aim of Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue (Scottish Charity No SC041871) is to ease the suffering of abandoned and stray cats and kittens in and around Edinburgh and Fife. We are a small, family run cat rescue who dedicate our efforts to promoting good welfare practices for cats and to helping those cats and kittens in our care back to health, so that we may find them a new loving forever home.

Mr Norris

Mr Norris was born with a severe facial deformity. Only through your kind support and donations were we able to fund his reconstructive surgery

Our core focus is those cats living stray on the streets, the sick, injured and infirm who need special care to heal. We specialise in the hand rearing of infant and orphaned kittens and are on hand to offer advice on any aspects of cat care to the public through our Cat Care Advice Line and our Cat Care Centre.

We cannot create a better world for the cats of tomorrow if we do not seek to educate those around us of the wonders and responsibilities of caring for a cat as part of your family unit.”
Sarah Ross, Co Founder
